Funeral Claims

In order for VVF to make payment, the person who signs the funeral contract must act as the VVF claimant. If this is not the case, a special authorization must be signed by the person who signed the funeral contract authorizing VVF to pay the claimant.

If a claimant wants to claim loss of support for the children of a homicide victim, the children must be listed in Section J: Dependents on the Claim Form. The victim of the crime should always appear under Section A.
